How’s your aim?
It’s thought to be the oldest sport in the world and most people have had a go at it during a school camp at some point, but have you ever thought about taking up archery as a sport? If you have, and you’re at intermediate or secondary school, Marangai Archery Club would love to see you on Sunday, November 28, for their ‘have-a-go’ morning. Starting at 10am, club members will be on hand to teach you how to shoot correctly and calculate your score. Club president Matt Nowak says, “it’s a great opportunity give something a little different a go; we’re a super friendly club and would love to see some young people come and give it a shot.” Organised to align with ‘Get Outdoors Week’, it’s an ideal opportunity to see if your aim is really as good as you think it is. It’ll cost you $5 for the morning, and places are limited so you’ll need to sign up. Email firstname.lastname@example.org or texting 027 441 2746. The club has all the gear; just bring a mask, water bottle, and sunscreen. Extra information: ‘Get Outdoors Week’ (https:/ /www.getoutdoorsweek.co. nz/)
